Step 1) Discover Your Obsession 

For me, my topics of obsession are human potential, online business, marketing and philosophy. 

Ever since I can remember, I've been fascinated by what drives people to maximize their abilities and live with purpose. 

Starting my own online business allowed me to explore this passion firsthand.

So…

What topics set your soul on fire? 

Don't overthink it - perform a mind dump and allow your passions to rise to the surface organically. 

Is it human nature?

Marketing?

Self-development?

Mindfulness?

Your obsession will provide you with an unlimited stream of content ideas. 

Step 2) Find Your Unique Angle Generic advice is worthless. 

To captivate readers, you must uncover your fresh, original perspective on your topic obsession. 

Study the…

• Problems

• Benefits

• Goals 

• And roadblocks…

Through the lens of your personal experiences. 

Step 3) Create Prolifically

To rapidly sharpen your axe, you must write extensively and consistently. 

Aim for at least 500-1000 words weekly through long-form newsletters or articles, and post 2-3 bite-sized snippets daily across social media to build creative momentum. 

Immerse yourself in the process. 

Step 4) Master Idea Extraction

Long-form pieces give you an abundance of insights to extract and repurpose as standalone posts, allowing you to squeeze maximum value from your intellectual labour. 

Think of YouTube videos, Medium Articles, Blog posts, etc.

BUT…

Don't simply copy/paste - rewrite each idea as a fresh, self-contained piece. 

Eg: You choose to write about how to improve your focus…

If you are stuck -> You research the topic of how to improve focus…

You consume YouTube videos…

You take the main ideas of whatever you are consuming and then you write it in your unique perspective…

Step 5) Choose Your Content Homebase 

To build an audience for your writing, you need a primary platform to make your voice heard. 

PERSONALLY…

Twitter and LinkedIn are the most viable options. 

Twitter allows you to validate your ideas in short form…

It is your training arena.

LinkedIn allows you to use those validated ideas and turn them into actionable and valuable content to attract an audience… in the form of:

• Carousels

• Long-form Content

• Video (if you want)

• Medium Form Content

Also, it will be the place where you will most likely monetize faster…

Step 6) Become a Master Promoter

Even brilliant writing is worthless if nobody sees it. 

You must become a skilled marketer, networker and promoter to ensure your art avoids being lost amidst the content avalanche. 

Relentlessly share your work and engage with others in your domain of interest. 

The only way to truly monetize your writing is by building a personal brand that attracts a loyal, engaged audience for your ideas. 

Without a reputation and following, it's extremely difficult to sell products or services based on your words alone. 

Step 7) Find Your Income Streams 

With a rapidly growing personal brand and audience, you can monetize your creative powers through…

• Courses

• Coaching

• Brand sponsorships

And other products or services that allow you to profit from your passion. 

Step 8) Keep Evolving
